Grant Writer & Agricultural Outreach Professional
Sanne Kure-Jensen has successfully written grants for alternative energy projects, staff and board training as well as products and services. Clients include agricultural businesses, farm stand/markets and non-profit organizations. Successful grant projects include a $90,000 USDA Rural Development‘s Rural Energy For America Program (REAP), $10,000 Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) Farmer and $20,000 Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Conservation Innovation Grant (CIG).
Kure-Jensen is a frequent contributor to "Country Folks," "Country Folks Grower" and "Wine & Craft Brew News" bringing regional and national attention to horticultural and agricultural professionals in RI and southern New England. Her work has also been published by the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA), the RI Beekeepers Association and the RI Tree Council.
Kure-Jensen is a NOFA Accredited Organic Land Care Professional, RI Certified Horticulturist and experienced beekeeper. She speaks at conferences and public venues across he Northeast on Small Scale Beekeeping, Welcoming Pollinators and Backyard Composting as well as Eating Organically, Growing Hops and Homebrewing and Ecological Landscape Design.
